The Gold of Mauritius Solera 8 is produced by Litchquor Ltd. in Mauritius. It is a molasses-based rum, blended from a selection of local rums and then further aged and blended using the dynamic Solera system. This process involves stacking barrels and transferring rum from older, lower barrels to younger, upper ones, allowing the older rums to "educate" the younger ones. 

• Aging: The rum is aged for up to 8 years in oak barrels that were previously used for South African wine.
• ABV: It has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 40%.
• Serving Suggestions: It is primarily recommended as a sipping rum, best enjoyed neat due to its depth and character, though it can also be used in luxury cocktails.
